For a job to qualify as a skilled occupation, it must meet one of the following criteria:

E-3 visa holders initially receive a 2-year period of stay in the U.S., with the option to request extensions for up to 2 years at a time, and there’s no specific maximum limit on the number of extensions.
E-3 visa holders can bring their spouse and unmarried children under 21 years of age to the U.S. under the same classification. Spouses are eligible for work authorization, but children are not.
